In 2010, Sonia was named a founding principal of °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ Pharr Academy where she has built a community of learning and high expectations for all students and families. She has been at °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ Pharr Academy for the past 13 years where she has led her campus continuously to the highest standards through her coaching, management, and love for the Pharr Campus and the children of Las Milpas community.
During her leadership at °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ Pharr Academy, she has demonstrated strong communication and personal skills that has built a strong community of teachers, parents, and scholars. In her role, she plans to extend her portfolio to College Prep with a focus on academic excellence and ensuring our mission of getting 100% of scholars to and through college.
Sonia and her husband have three children, two °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ Pharr College Prep alumni that are currently in college and one a 4th grader at °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ Pharr Academy. She is grateful to wake up every morning to a job that she loves where she can impact so many lives.
